Hamilton Beach 47454 BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup Coffeemaker
Coffee Maker Ratings: (Have you used this machine? If so, give us your rating!)
For coffee enthusiasts that did not love the original BrewStation, the new Hamilton Beach 47454 BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup Coffeemaker has worked out the kinks to brew an indulgent cup of coffee.
Coffee enthusiasts love the “push and pour” feature of the BrewStation Deluxe, which allows them to fill their thermos with rich coffee instead of grabbing a carafe. The different brew modes allow you to personalize your coffee brewing, allowing even decaf drinkers to enjoy the perfect roast.
Unlike the original BrewStation, the BrewStation Deluxe does not leave a plastic after taste in the coffee from heating. However, the temperature of your coffee may from brew to brew, and you must monitor the level of coffee in the pot to ensure that you prevent that scorched coffee taste.
If you choose the white model, the coffee may stain the machine, though a little soap and vinegar will commonly remove stains. Regardless of color, the modern look of this coffee maker is sure to spruce up any kitchen décor.
The main complaint from consumers about the BrewMaster Deluxe is that the water seals do not always fit properly, causing the machine to leak.
Features: a 12 cup coffee maker that does not require a carafe; one-handed dispensing; 4 brew cycles; thermal-lined insulation for a steaming cup every time; easy to program clock that allows for wake-up coffee; auto shutoff; permanent gold tone filter included; and a one year warranty.

We have the BREWSTATION DELUXE 12 CUP model and were totally satisfied for the first TWO years. The features were the main reason we purchased this unit.
It turns out that the tank is totally under-engineered insofar as the working parts of it are concerned.
When the ‘coffee tank’ was last cleaned, the replaceable ‘seal’ decided to not stay on the ‘post’ (which has no ‘seal’ retention ability except for friction) tight enough to keep the pouring parts of the unit together and therefore the ‘spring’, which keeps the the ‘seal’ in contact with the bottom of the ‘coffee tank’ fell out the bottom. If the spring had fallen out during use, it could potentially have been swallowed by the coffee drinker.
The ‘post’ is obviously, to me, not of a good design and is the apparent ‘weak plastic component’. This ‘post’ component is unremoveable and also is unrepairable, even if one could figure out what to do with it. For the cost of the unit, one would think ‘stainless steel’ instead of plastic for the ‘post’ casting, especially since it isn’t replaceable, would serve the customer’s best interests.
Nothing can be done except to re-place the entire ‘coffee tank’ which is not available as a replaceable part.
We will probably not buy another Hamilton Beach ‘anything’.
